How do I find my own classified ad(s).
There are two main ways to find your ads. From the BreedersClub.net home page,

  • Local Breeders - Click on either Local Dog Breeders or Local Cat Breeders; .find your breed listed in alphabetical order, click on it and find a link to your ad next to your state and city.
  • Search Button - select the type of ad you are looking for (i.e. dogs/puppies for sale; cats, stud service). Then search for the breed you are advertising. Scan the results, locate your ad and click on the breed name or picture.

May I post additional ads and if so, how?
You may post unlimited ads in your account as long as you are the breeder. You may not post ads for other breeders. To post additional ads without charge, login to your account, open one of your ads, scroll to the bottom and click in DUPLICATE. An identical ad will open. Make the changes needed and submit it. CLICK HERE and follow the instructions. (back to top)

When I try to post additional ads, why am I being asked to pay again?

  1. When posting a new image, after browsing and choosing an image, you may enter text in the box immediately below the image line. Then click on update at the bottom of that window.
  2. To add a description to a previously posted picture, log on and click on the ad you wish to modify. Scroll down the page to the images area. In the images box, click the drop down arrow and then click on the image you you wish to add text to. To the right of the images box, click on the Text button. A new window will open, enter the text in the text box, then save it.
  3. To finish, click Update. (back to top)

When I tried to post my or update my ad, I received a message " page can not be displayed." What happened?
This can occur when you try to upload too many pictures at once or your images are too large. Try submitting or modifying the text of your ad, then updating it. Once you have the text the way you want, add one picture at a time, updating after each picture. Pictures taken directly from a digital camera are often too large. Resize them so that they take up less memory.(back to top)

What is the best size for my pictures?
Although the classifieds program will accept very large pictures, up to 900 kb, it is best to resize them prior to attempting to upload them. The optimal resolution for posting images on the web is 72 ppi or pixels per inch. The height and width should not be greater than about 3 inches for optimal loading time. (back to top)

How can I resize my pictures?
You need to use a photo editing program. Such programs usually come with scanners and digital cameras. You can usually set the resolution to 72 ppi by checking under attributes or size. Try cropping off any extra picture around your puppy. There is a usually a crop tool that you can use which allows you select part of your picture and then remove everything from the outside of your selected box. If in doubt about the size of you picture, right click on it and then click on properties. If it is more than 900 kb it is probably too large.(back to top)
