African White Necked Ravens
Large black bird with a white neck. Also known as the Cape Raven, African White-Necked ravens are found in Eastern and Southern Africa and are the largest crow in their range.
These birds have a short tail and broad wings; they also show a flat crown, massive bill and white patch on back of their neck.
The males average larger than the females; The White Neck Raven is about two feet long, with a wingspan of 4 feet.
The ravens use various different high-pitched calls and can sometimes mimic human talking.
Housing for these birds should be large and open with room for the ravens to jump around.
